The Institute of Financial Services (ifs) has agreed a joint collaboration with ICC Italia in order to support the Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) Qualification

CDCS is the professional certification that will enable documentary credit practitioners to demonstrate specialist knowledge and application of the skills required for competent practice. CDCS has been developed in partnership by the Institute of Financial Services (ifs), the official brand of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB) and the International Financial Services Association (IFSA). It is endorsed by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and developed in consultation with industry experts to ensure that the certification reflects best practice. CDCS is the international standard for documentary credit specilists.

What are the entry requirements?
There are no entry requirements to undertake the CDCS examination, but it is strongly recommended that candidates have a minimum of three years' documentary credit or related experience.

Candidates prepare for the CDCS examination through independent study (distance learning) using the study text produced by the ifs and IFSA in consultation with ICC experts and industry representatives.
